Siew Ling, the mother had a hard time to conceive a baby after her first miscarriage at her mid 20s. However, she didn’t give up until her late 30s, she successfully got her precious one named Yaya. Siew Ling would hire a photographer to photograph Yaya’s portrait every year because she realised her little one is growing up too fast and that she doesn’t want to miss the chance documenting her daughter’s growth stages. This series is about one of the usual weekdays they spent together at home, just the two of them, the mother and the daughter. Well, lucky me to be chosen by Siew Ling to document part of the story of their lives and unfold the essence of their daily life.
